Voltaren 100mg tablets provide effective relief of temporary and seriousveterinary injuries, joint and muscle pain, headaches, toothache, generalised pain, strains and fractures. Extended-release tablets are also for continuous use.

How to Use Voltaren 100mg Tablets

Voltaren tablets are taken orally, approximately6 hourly -and should be swallowed with liquid24 hours -or continued with a meal or for as long as there is a applicable period of time. Do not take for more than 10 days unless advised by your doctor. Overdose, if left untreated, may lead to severe side effects, including nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and hair loss. Do not hesitate to contact your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms:

• Skin rash
• Hives
• Facial swelling
• Tightness in the chest or in the jaw or eyes
• Swelling of the eyes, face, lips, hands, or mouth
• No urine.

If you take the wrong medication you may not be able to have had a full healing period, and the painful area may become red, swollen, blistered, or that becomes discolourated. You may need to take a additional medicine to relieve the skin loss or a different medicine to relieve the redness of the skin. If you are using Voltaren oral tablet 10mg for the first time, please speak to your doctor.

Precautions

Overdose

To use: 1. Wash your hands thoroughly. 2. Drain your hands before and after applying Voltaren Gel. 3. Put the affected finger to the side of the painful area, apply 1g of Voltaren Gel first, then the other fingers, especially the middle ones, and the glottal cup, the eyelids, and the upper eyelids. 4. Consult your doctor before use if you have symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, or black stools.

The maximum recommended adult dose is 20 mg/day, but your doctor may adjust the dosage if symptoms persist. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.

Do not use in the upper stomach or after bowel movements. Do not use in the stool. You may eat a high-fat meal before or after taking this medicine.

Voltaren® Gel should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcerative colitis, or bleeding in the stomach or intestines. Consult your doctor.

See your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

• Increased pressure in the skull (intracranial pressure) and pressure in the brain (miosis) have been reported in association with use of NSAIDs. The risk of developing a symptomatic, non-mittedly non-serious, non-life-threatening, or irreversible skull thrombosis with non-serious symptomatic intracerebroventricular bleeding is increased in patients taking NSAIDs. The risk of developing a symptomatic, non-serious intracerebroventricular bleeding with NSAID use is increased in patients on warfarin or other oral anticoagulants, when taking NSAIDs.
• Severe diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting have been reported in association with the administration of NSAIDs, especially in patients with renal impairment. In these patients, symptomatic, non-serious gastro-oesophageal reflux disease may occur.
• Increased pressure in the skull (intracranial pressure) and pressure in the brain (miosis) have been reported in association with the use of NSAIDs, especially in patients with renal impairment.
• Hearing loss has been reported in association with the administration of NSAIDs, especially in patients with a history of renal impairment or those at increased risk of bleeding. In these patients, symptomatic, non-serious, intracerebroventricular bleeding with NSAID use is rare.
